A quick note on how this will work.
As I'm just starting this blog 1400 film viewings (according to my flixster.com account) into my career, I will attempt to work through my back catalogue (with rescreenings where possible/desirable) whilst concurrently reviewing films that I see newly - which will include classics and older films that I personally have never seen and new releases.
OK, here goes.
Movie Reviews from the Backwards Cap Film Reviewer at Review Flix. An ordinary guy who doesn't reserve his 5 star ratings for art house films that you've never heard of but loves a big budget epic or a frat comedy as much as the next guy... and just happens to have training in Film Studies, Screenwriting and Film Production.

Welcome to Review Flix
Welcome to the home of The Backwards Cap film reviewer.
An ordinary guy (as opposed to some snooty, academic film critic).
And yes I have studied film studies (and screenwriting and film production) at a world class university - which gives me a soapbox to stand upon.
But I pride myself of being into the movies of the masses and not only the w@nky art house stuff.
Oh, and there will be an inordinate amount of French and German film reviews, but that's because I speak those languages not because I think that New Wave Cinema was the the height of film making.
